Another action movie based on one of the famoust video games of CAPCOM - Street Fighter but this time only focus the character of Chun-Li, the chinese lady fighter.

The movie talks about Chun-Li (starred by Kristin Kreuk) fight against with Bison (starred by Neil McDonough), Balrog and Vega to save his father who is captured by Bison. With help from Gen (starred by Robin Shou), Nash (starred by Kris Klein) and Maya (starred by Moon BloodGood), can Chun-Li saves his father?

Personal Review:

Feel funny when I see Kristin play a role as Chun-Li in the movie. Chun-Li is a pure chinese female fighther, isn't she? There is scene whereby Chun-Li VS Vegas. When Vega appears in the movie at the first time seem very strong but when fight with Chun-Li, there is no chance for him to fight until defeated to Chun-Li. Haha......Overall the fighting scene can considered average. Besides, don't expect you will see other street figther characters will appear in the movie such as Ryu, E-Honda,...

The movie of Watchmen is created based on a twelve-issue comic book limited series by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons and colorist John Higgins. The comic was published by DC Comics during 1986 and 1987.

The main characters of Watchment are:

1. Nite Owl II (by Patrick Wilson)

2. Silk Spectre II (by Malin Akerman)

3. Dr. Manhanttan (by Billy Crudup)

4. The Comedian (by Jeffrey Dean Morgan)

5. Rorscharch (by Jackie Earle Haley)

6. Ozymandias (by Matthew Goode)

The story begin with the one of the superheroes, the Comedian was killed in his apartment. Rorscharch suspects the murderer will continue kill the other retired superheroes include himself and he decided to find the others for the investigation. This incident also suspected is related to the cold war between US and Soviet Union as well as the peaceful of the world in 1986. Will the retired superheroes reunite and save the world?

Personal Review:

Don't expect the movie comes with a lot of action like other superheroes movies do. Anyway, this movie is worth to watch in the cinema since the movie very nice in vision as well as the music. This about 2 hours and 45 minutes length of movie will bring you unexpected ending. Besides, I also like the sexy Silk Spectre II, hehe......

Therefore, the movie director has a plan to force them all to act real by bringing them to real war environment but unfortunately they really meet with a big group chinese terrorist in the director's plan. They are not soldier, just good actor, Can they fight with the terrorist and survive from the real war?

If you like to watch Zombie / Living Dead type of movie, then this movie cast by, David Chisum, Kristen Kerr, Richard Tyson and Siena Goinesv is your choice. To me, this is just a normal movie with action - the battle between human and zombie. But, do you dare to take flight together with scientist after watched this movie?

Jigsaw murderer reborn?

I can't recall the story of Saw 1-4 but still remember the John (starred by Tobin Bell) or Jigsaw murderer dead in the last episode. But why still have Jigsaw Murderer?

The answer is detective Hoffman (starred by Costas Mandylor). He was trained by John to become new jigsaw murderer. Few of the previous killing games were assisted by Hoffman.

A detective become series killer? You will know the reason why he becomes the killer after you watch this movie. Nothing special from this movie again, still the same that the victims need to play the game planned by jigsaw murderer to survive.

I like to move it move it...he likes to move it move it...she likes to move it move it...we like to "MOVE IT"!!!

Sounds familiar? You're right, Alex (the lion), Gloria (the hypo), Marty (the zebra) and Melman (the giraffe) of Madagascar are coming back! This time 4 of them with the help from penguins to fly back to New York from Madagascar. Unfortunately their plane crash and bring them to their real home - Africa.

4 of them even found their own home but facing big problem among themselves. Alex meets up with his parent (lion king and queen) who expects Alex to become the next lion king. The basic requirement as lion king is good fighting skill. Alex is good in dancing but not fighting. How he can face his enemy to protect the glory of his family?

Gloria is expecting to build up own family and she found her ideal love partner - big and fat hypo named Moto Moto in Africa. Moto Moto only love her but does not understand & know her well. How's Gloria going to make decision for her love?

Marty found himself no longer special when mix with the zebras and even his best friend Alex also can't recognize him. He lost himself. Can he stand up again?

Melman love Gloria very much but dare not to express his feeling to Gloria. When he found that he is going to die due to uncured dicease, he finally express his love to Gloria. Will Gloria accept his love before he die?

Let's go and enjoy one of the best movies during this school holiday and sure will relax and laugh while watching the show.

Wall-E is one the good movies I watched recently, even it just an animation movie. The storyline is about Wall-E (a robot designed to clean all the rubbish in the world) and Eve (a fighting robot) to bring back the human back to their mother earth.

The movie talks about love (between 2 robots?) and also advise us to save our environment. We should recycle the rubbish to avoid same like what happen in this movie, no more flora and fauna, until human staying in spaceship in galaxy.

Let's recycle and protect our mother earth.

Personal Comment
From the movie, you can see how advance the current technology of animation is. The scenes appear in the movie are very nice. The selling point of this movie is the 3D technology. Without 3D effect, I don't see anything can attract the audience.

The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor

Just back from GSC cinema after watched the premier screening of The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor at 1 Utama shopping complex. So, I quickly post something about this movie here.

In The Mummy 3, Rick O'Connel (starred by Brendan Fraser) faces the challenge from mummy again. But this time is not Egytian mummy, is Chinese mummy - Terracotta Army leaded by Emperor Han (starred by Jet Li). I believe that Emperor Han of the movie is First Emperor in China named Qin Shi Huang (or Shi Huang Ti) who ruled China from 241BCE to 210BCE as King of Great Qin. Besides Chinese mummy, you also able to see yeti (or snowman) and 3 heads dragon in this movie.

Why I said Emperor Han is Shi Huang Ti? Shi Huang Ti undertook some gigantic projects such as current version of Great Wall and Terracotta Army. Besides, he was the king always look for immortality. It all are exactly what Emperor Han does in the movie.

Basically the story started after world war 2 when Rick and his wife Evelyn (now starred by Maria Bello; previously starred by Rachel Weisz) are assigned to send the eye of Shangri-la back to China from England. But they are betrayed by their friend Professor Wilson who used Rick & Evelyn's son Alex to find the Emperor Han & his army.

With helps from Jonathan (Evelyn's brother), Lin (starred by Isabella Leong) and Lin's mother Zhi Yuan (starred by Michelle Yeoh), can O'Connel family defeat Emperor Han who helped by a group soldier leaded by General Yang (starred by Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) and Choi (starred by Jessey Meng)?

Generally this movie is considered a nice movie with a lot nice animation and fighting scenes but the movie time too short.

John Hancock (starred by Will Smith) is a man with superhero power but he is not a superheroes because he does not act like a superhero. He does save people from danger until damage public infrastructure like building, road, etc. Besides, liquor is his favorite. He drunk almost all the time.

Due to his bad habit and action, the people of Los Angles hate him except Ray Embrey (starred by Jason Bateman) who was saved by Hancock in an accident. Ray Embrey is a Public Relation specialist and decided to train Hancock to become a Superhero, but his wife Mary Embrey (starred by Charlize Theron) raises objection.

Actually Hancock and Mary are husband and wife since 3000 years ago. When they are close together, they will lose superpower and the enemy will come to attack them. 80 years ago they were attached until Hancock wounded and lost memory. Mary decided to leave him alone and started to have new life like normal people does.

Now they meet up again and the enemy will appear soon to take their life. Can they face the challenge again?

The movie is short. I expected this movie will bring a lot of fighting scenes but actually not. It is with a lot of jokes, especially when he says "Good Job, Good Job" to people, haha :))

Anyway, the movie doesn't explain the background of Hancock. Why he has superpower and where are they from? Who are they? From Mars? Really don't know here...

The Incredible Hulk

The latest The Incredible Hulk movie is far far better that the part one of The Incredible Hulk which directed by Hong Kong famous director Lee Ann. After I watched the part one, really fainted! Suppose a superhero movie with a lot of action scene but was directed become a movie for movie award - boring!

The new director - Louis Leterrier brings in Edward Norton as Bruce Banner / Hulk and pretty Liv Tyle as Bruce's belove Betty Ross. The movie comes with a lot of nice fighting scene (a superhero movie must be like this) especially the fight between the two giant: The green and the brown?

Tony Stark (Iron Man) also appears at the end of the movie and proposes to partner with the General (Betty's father who keep chasing Hulk for ultimate weapon for the country). What Tony want to do? Will he partners with General to fight with Hulk in part 3??

Kung Fu Panda

Nothing is impossible! Even a stupid fat panda named Po (voiced by Jack Black) also can become a Kung Fu Master. As long as you are focus and hardworking to do something and definitely will bring success to you.

This is movie is quite a funny movie for watching but too short, less than 90 minutes. The panda really cute and funny especially when look at its facial expression. Haha!

Only talk about the cast will attract audience. Besides Jack Black, you can find Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, David Cross, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogan, Dustin Hoffman, Ian McShane.

Anyway, I have question here. Why a duck is the panda's father?? Adoption?

National Treasure: Book Of Secret

National Treasure: Book of Secret starred by Nicholas Cage (as Ben Gates), Justin Bartha (as Riley Poole) and Diane Kruger (as Abigail Chase) is not a new movie. I missed it when it being shown in the cinema.

Ben's great grand father, Thomas Gates is accused involved in the assassination of US President Lincoln. To prove Thomas is the hero of Civil War, Ben needs to find the treasure "City of The Gold" or "Cibola" together with his best friend Riley and girl friend Abigail and the treasure hunt of Ben Gates started!!

Actually a lot of thing I really don't understand, are all about the history of US such as Civil War, President Lincoln, Mount Rushmore, etc...

Anyway, I have few questions here after watched the movie. Does US President have Book of Secret which recorded all the secret of the nation from President to President? US President did ask Ben to read page 47 in the Book of Secret and it about what? May be we can get this answer from National Treasure III in future!

I think this is the best movie that can be dedicated to father during father's day. It talking about a father can sacrifice everything for the daughter even a head of gangster group decided stop to do black money business for the good future of his daughter.

Louis Koo partners (as Lee Tin-yun) with Rene Liu (as Mabel Chan) again (partnered in the movie "Happy Birthday") and Lee Chun-Yan plays as a cute little daughter of Louis and Rene in this Sylvia Chang movie.

Will the God gives Lee a chance to become good father or will he be killed by the gangster group because he betrays them?

Another stupid funny movie directed by Craig Mazin who directed Scary Movie and Naked Gun. The movie is modified based on the story of Spiderman movie. But this time is not a smart spiderman, is a stupid dump dump green "Drogan Fly" (starred by Drake Bell) as a superhero that falls in love with Jill (starred by Sara Paxton).

Besides Dragon Fly, Mr.Fantastic, Wolverine, Storm, Professor Xavier, Invisible Woman also appeared in the movie. It also make fun of Tom Cruise, Prof. Hawkin, Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama, etc.

After watched this movie, do you still like the Pretty version (original) of Invisible Woman (starred by Jessica Alba) or Big Boob version of Invisible Woman (starred by Pamela Anderson)? Haha...

If you wanna to have a big laugh, may be this movie suitable for you. Just for you to relax because watching this movie will not make to thi nk!

Another movie related to Monkey God of Ancient China, but this time is in English. The Forbidden Kingdom is talking about a journey to return the golden rod (Monkey God's Special Weapon) to Monkey God who cursed to become stone. The return of the rod will revive the monkey god.

I am expecting this is a good action movie but out of my expectation after watched. The action quite ok especially during the fighting between Jet Li and Jackie Chan. But, if talking about the storyline, I would say is very bad.

Starring: Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Michael Angarano Crystal Liu, Collin Chou, Lee BingBing.

Drillbit Taylor is the latest comedy movie of Owen Wilson (as Drillbit Taylor). The story is talking about 3 high school students, Ryan (starred by Troy Gentile), Wade (by Nate Hartley) and Emmit (by David Dorfman) recruits Drillbit as their budget body guard to prevent bully by Filkins and Ronnie. But Drillbit's intention as a body guard is to cheat the kids' money to achieve his dream.

Because of influence by the three kids and his high school teacher girl friends, Barbara (by Beth Littleford), he decided to help the kids to fight against the gangster.

The movie is funny and it teaching us be brave to face your problem and solve it. Anyway, is a good movie for parents to bring their child to watch during this school holiday.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones comes back. Even Harrison Ford ages 60+ but he still act as Indiana Jones in the latest Indiana Jones movie series - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The story begins with KGB leaded by agent Irina Spalko (starred by Cate Blanchett) to steal a specimen from US government in US military base to find out the crystal skull. They believe who returns the crystal skull to Akator (a legendary city) can own a special power to conquer the world.

Mutt Williams (starred by Shia Labeouf) seeks help from Indy to save his mother - Marion Ravenwood (starred by Karen Allen) and Professor 'Ox' Oxley (starred by John Hurt) who caught by KGB to help unlock the secret of Crystal Skull of Akator. Therefore, Indy starts his adventure again to Akator and save his lover Marion and old friend Ox at the same time.

In the movie, not many action by Harrison, may be an old man should not go for action movie. Shia Labeouf has more action and actually he is son of Indy. I believe when Harrison can't act Indy again due to his old age, Shia can continues the movie series of Indiana Jones. Mutt Indiana? Haha...

Besides, I like Akator. If it is a real place, definitely I will visit it :)

After the Kings and Queens of Narnia backed to their own world, the Narnia has been conquered by Telmarine. Narnia's rightful heir to the throne, Prince Caspian is hiding against his uncle, Lord Miraz who wanted to become King of Narnia. Accidently Prince Caspian blows the horn until bring back the King Peter, King Edmuns, Queen Lucy and Queen Susan to save Narnia.

With help for the 4 kings and queens, can Prince Caspian takes back his throne from his uncle? The Narnian needs to fight against great army (with catapult) of Telmarine leaded by King Miraz. Will Azlan return again to save them from the great army?

"The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" is better than "The Chronicles of Narnia: The lion, the witches and the wardrobe". You can see great fighting scene in this movie including one one one fighting (Miraz vs Peter) and Narnian (with talking rat, tiger, dwarf, badger, etc) vs Telmarine army. I would say child version of Lord The Ring :P

This movie will make you keep thinking along the show about how the assassin works and who behind this besides Suarez - the terrorist.

But the show doesn't explain why the terrorist want to kill the president. May be the president always is the main attack target of all terrorist.

But her ambitious cousin Wu Ba 胡霸 (by Guo Xiaodong) sends assassins to kill her.

A mysterious man Duan Lan-Quan 段兰泉 (by Leon Lai) saves her. Feier falls in love with Duan who offers her a freedom life. With the fate of her kingdom in the balance, Feier must choose between her duty and her dreams. But Feier still choose freedom life with her love one.

The story highlights that woman emphasize love more than works which is not suitable for modern working lady nowadays. Because of love, Feier make her followers sacrifice. The movie makes the audience feel that woman useless, only talk about love, love and love which is not. Anyway, very nice to watch Donnie Yen's fighting scene.

This story is about a working lady, Angela Bridges (starred by Rachel Nichols) works late in Christmas Eve. When she wanted to go home for celebration with her family member, she trapped in the office’s parking garage and invited forcedly by the security guard, Thomas (starred by Wes Bentley) to his private Christmas Party. Then, Angela needs to find a way to escape from level P2 of the parking garage.

Basically, I would say the investment cost of this movie is very low. After watched the whole movie, only able to see not more than 10 actor and actress. Some more, the story only happened in parking garage P1-P3. I believe they used the same place just change signage only between P1, P2 and P3.

Anyway, the lesson of this movie are:

1. Please do not work alone till late night. This bad incident may happen to you if you do that, regardless your sex.

2. Don't trust any security guard and you won't know what they will do on you.

Iron Man

Finally, Iron Man movie released in the cinema yesterday. Since today is a public holiday, so I decided went to GSC Signature at The Gardens to watch Iron Man.

Iron Man is one of Marvel's Superheroes. Tony Stark (the main character) become Superhero (as Iron Man) because of his intelligence in technology especially in weapon, not superpower like Spiderman and Incredible Hulk.

The story started with Tony Stark (starred by Robert Downey Jr.) kidnapped by Ten Ring (a rebellion) in Afghanistan when he is demonstrating his new weapon there.He forced by Ten Ring to build weapon for them but he builds superhero suit instead of the weapon to escape from the jail and 1st version of Iron Man born (prototype) . After back to US, he decided to build the new version of Iron Man (the one with Red & Gold color) to protect the world.

Later, his personal assistant, Pepper (starred by Gwyneth Paltrow) found that the kidnap is planned by Obadiah, top executive in Stark Industries but unfortunately Obadiah knows it. Obadiah equips himself superhero suite (he developed it based on the prototype of Iron Man found in Afghanistan) to kill Pepper but luckily Iron Man can come on time to save Pepper. War between 2 version of Iron Man begins!!

Actually Iron Man is one my favorite Marvel hero. I like his outlook ;)

Overall this movie quite nice but please don't expect much. Not many fighting scenes as Spiderman does because Iron Man only use power weapon, no need to fight, just shoot...

Should go to watch it if you are planning to watch a movie this weekend.

The Warlords 投名狀

This is the 2nd movie I watched during last weekend. Another movie starred by Andy Lau. Am I Andy Lau fans? Of course not but feel that Andy Lau's recent movies also quite good, can say his movie is better than other Hong Kong movies.

Anyway, the main actor of this movie is Jet Li (as Chin Yun), neither Andy Lau (as Er Hu) or Takeshi Kaneshiro (as Wu Yang). The story is about the brotherhood between the 3 mans, talking about how they join the Qing Dynasty's army in China and fight together against TaiPeng Rebellion until get recognized and rewarded by the Queen at the end.

I quite pity Er Hu. His wife (starred by Xu Jinglei) is not faithful to him because of Chin Yun and killed by Chin Yun who he trusts from the beginning until the end even they having different opinion. Due to the death of Er Hu, Wu Yang decided go to kill Chin Yun since he breach their agreement (killed own brother). Can Chin Yun survive? Same answer...go to watch yourself la......:P

The lesson I learn from this movie is must work together to fight against the enemy. If lack of trust and cooperative between the brothers, it will end up with "lose" to the enemy.

Resident Evil: Extinction is the third installment in the series of film adaptations based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil starred by Milla Jovovich (as Alice), Oded Fehr (as Carlos Olivera), Ali Larter (as Clair Redfield), Iain Glen (as Dr. Isaacs), Ashanti (as Betty) and Spencer Locke (as K-Mart).

Actually, this movie is considered as lady hero type of movie. Of course Milla is the only hero in the movie with special power, until can disturb the operation of satellite. Wow...amazing, I believe it already out of the storyline of Resident Evil video game!

I am one the game follower of Resident Evil or Biohazard but have such power in the game - only can use weapon to kill zombie or just run...............when no armor.

I can say this movie is one of the greatest Hong Kong made movie this year. The story started with a soldier of Kingdom Of Shu, Zao Zilong (starred by Andy Lau) became veteran of general to fight against Kingdom of Wei.

The greatest Zao Zilong never be defeated in the war until been called as "Forever Win General" till enemy also scare about his ability.

At the age of 71, Zao Zilong decided to lead the expedition to Kingdom of Wei but unfortunately, he will face Cao Ying (starred by Maggie Q), grand daughter of warlord Cao Cao. All his soldiers killed by the enemy until the last man - Zao ZiLong. Can he still escape from his enemy? :(

Anyway, the movie story is not same as what recorded in the history book and novel. Zao ZiLong is a general with good fate. He died because of old age, not killed in the war like other generals.

This movie is made based on the top-selling, award-winning video game franchise. The “Hitman” is a genetically-engineered, elite assassin known only as Agent 47 (starred by Timothy Olyphant). His hallmarks are a lethal grace, unwavering precision, and resolute pride in his work. But even 47 couldn’t anticipate a “random equation” in his life of exactitude: the unexpected stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a mysterious Russian woman.

Really hard to comment about this movie because feel quite confuse when watching the movie. The main actress, Olga Kurylenko acts as Nika in the movie is very hot and sexy by showing her small boobs.

The most attractive thing of the movie is the sound track. I really like the orchestra song sang by a lady in the movie but don't know the name of the song. Anyway, you may listen it at Hitman Movie official website and let me know if you know the name :)

In The Name of The King - A Dungeon Siege Tale

Another movie talking about war between human and semi human monster (called Krug in the movie). Another series of movie Lord of The Ring?

Of course the answer is NO.......................this movie is not related to LOTR. It just a new movie directed by Uwe Boll and was released early of year 2008.

Just watched it few days ago. The story begins about a village man with nickname "farmer" (by Jason Statham,) goes to save his wife (by Claire Forlani) who caught by Krug when the Krug attacking the village. Finally, farmer found that his is son of King Konreid (by Burt Reynords) and become the King after King Konreid killed. Farmer leads his army to fight against Gallian who leads the Krug army.

How is the ending? Grab you own copy and watch it...............personally don't like the ending and believe there are many ways can make it better.

Synopsis

My Comment

I am expecting it is a funny movie and able to make me laugh loudly, to help release tension. Before watch this movie, my friend suddenly told me that this is a stupid movie. Never mind, I still watch it regardless what he said. After watched it, I feel like what my friend told me. Don't know how to describe the movie - bad or worst? It not like Scary Movie, at least can make people laugh, but it not. I don't suggest to watch this movie, wasting time only unless you have much time to spend.

Ah Long Pte Ltd 《老师嫁老大》

Storyline

Ah Long Pte Ltd is a light-hearted black comedy about the triad world and the money-lending business. Instead of treating the subject of Ah Longs (money-lenders) seriously, the movie takes on a humorous and sarcastic treatment. It depicts how a young lady tries to restructure her money-lending triad into a professional and ‘loving' triad that stands against the use of violence after she takes over from her triad leader who has retired. Her various restructuring plans (which are no doubt very creative) bring about hilarious results.

Chen Jun (played by Richard Low) is the leader of Shao He Triad. The story opens with him deciding to “retire” from the triad business. Prior to his retirement, he elects Wang Li Hua (played by Fann Wong), a young but tough girl, as his successor.

Li Hua believes that changes need to be made to the current money lending system . Although Li Hua prioritizes the triad's success, she is very much against the idea of using violent means to collect debts. Therefore, with the help of some professional consultants, Li Hua and several of her subordinates (played by KK and Daniel Tan) start adopting a series of creative tactics to attract money lenders and practice hilarious methods to pressure the money-lenders to repay in a non-violent way. However, Li Hua's plan of “restructuring” her triad meets with obstacles and opposition from the majority of the conservative elders in both her own triad and rival triad.

At the brighter end of the world, Mr. Fang (played by Mark Lee) is a kind-hearted dance instructor who is slightly sissy in character. Fate has it that Mr. Fang runs into Li Hua on numerous occasions by chance. Since Li Hua's mother has been pressuring her to get married, Li Hua decides to force Mr. Fang to marry her. Surprisingly, Mr. Fang agrees to it, wanting to prove his masculinity. Though finding it hard to accept the fact that Li Hua is a triad head, Mr. Fang approves of her effort to minimize the use of violence. Subsequently, he offers to help Li Hua out by introducing creative ways to reduce violent methods of debt collection.

My Comment

This is the funniest movie I watched this year. The most funny character in the movie is the 1/2 guy (is a man but act like female) named "Mr.Fang". From this movie, I learn that girl should "Act Like MANU"?? Meaning show off half of your breast, haha.................

Besides, this movie also fool its audience. Li Hua can be chased by one group gangster from Bukit Bintang Area (behind KL Plaza) until South City Plaza in Seri Kembangan. I believe the distance between the two places is more than 10km, ha.......they all can participate in Marathon!!!

Anyway, I hope it can educate REAL Ah Long to change their way to do business!!

Storyline

My Comment

The film is talking about a normal man becomes a hero due to a beauty! I expected a lot of fighting scene here but it’s not. D’leh is not a good fighter and he kills enemy by luck. The best scene of this film is when D’leh and his fellows chased by a man eating giant bird (its look like giant Ostrich). Generally it is one of films worth to watch in March 2008.
